Kaskadia was founded on March 2, 2009 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and expanded operations to Boulder, Colorado later that year.

While being a new company, Kaskadia's two founders and their associates have extensive commercial experience in software engineering, business ERP and database development, and web technologies including PHP, .NET, AJAX, Python, Ruby, and others.
